Monthly Parent/Teacher
EFT Circles
This Circle is designed with parents, grandparents, teachers and caregivers of our children in
mind.  The focus is on the emotions we have that are related to our children and being their
caregivers.  It doesn’t matter what age your child is, as their parent, grandparent, teacher, etc., you
experience emotions related to having them in your life.  There are wonderful emotions and then there
are the not so fun ones.  We all have them. We will be working to clear the not so fun ones so we have
more room for the fun ones.

In Circle, we discuss what we feel negatively about. (This can be a touchy spot so where necessary,
privates sessions can be used.) Then we apply our personal energy to calming our own issues with our
children.
We can’t change their feelings, but we can change how we feel about their
feelings.  We can change the
stress levels we experience and make helping them easier.
Then we will learn how to teach the techniques to our children.

In this Circle we will be using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). This is a simplified
process originating in Acupressure.  It has been found that stimulating the Acupressure
meridian points closest to the surface (on the upper body) gives release to  emotional
energy blocks that cause negative feelings.

Please join in as we develop a new generation of emotionally wise children. The peace that
comes with this is phenomenal.

There is a follow up Circle designed for children,  ages 4 through 10, and their caregivers.
This Circle is for the kids.  I take them through playful, interactive games that teach them
EFT. They learn how to look for aspects of their emotions and clear them using this
technique.

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete."
-Buckminster Fuller

EFT has its roots in Thought Field Therapy, taught by Dr. Calahan, a psychiatrist, who discovered it
while working with a patient who had an intense fear of water.  The almost instant results he got with
using this tapping technique (after years of unsuccessful talk therapy) brought him to developing
Thought Field Therapy.  This was a very complicated, time consuming, expensive method.  Gary Craig,
founder of EFT, trained under Dr. Calahan. He felt this therapy was very effective but complicated.
Being an engineer, he decided to try and simplify the process.  What developed was EFT, a simple,
easy to learn process that even small children can learn effectively.  What Gary has given us is a
people’s medicine.  Many of us will be grateful to Gary for a long time to come.
